Deleting your LEILA account

Effective date: August 6, 2026

You can delete your LEILA account at any time — from inside the app or by email.

From inside the app

1. Open LEILA → Profile → Settings → Account → Delete my account
2. Confirm. Your account is queued for deletion immediately.

By email

Send an email to [email protected] from the address on your account, with the subject "Delete my account". We process requests within 7 days.

Requesting deletion of your data

You can request erasure of your personal data even without deleting your account. Send your request to [email protected] with the subject "Data deletion request". We respond within 30 days. Full details of your rights are in the Privacy Policy.

What we delete

• Your profile (name, date of birth, gender, photos, bio)
• Your posts, winks, group memberships and going-out history
• Your messages sent and received (removed from your view; the other party sees "deleted user")
• Your device tokens and push notification preferences

What we keep, and for how long

• Transactional records (subscription payments, receipts) — retained per Moroccan tax law (10 years)
• Encrypted backups — purged within 30 days of account deletion
• Content already reshared publicly by others (e.g. quoted messages) — untouched
• Records of Terms violations — retained for account-fraud prevention
